Archives and Special Collections: Paperweight Collection

The Stockton Archives | Cumberland University, Lebanon, Tennessee

Cumberland University is pleased to announce the acquisition of 47 highly collectible paperweights given to the Arts program within the School of Humanities, Education, and the Arts. Mrs. Mary Ruth Kolbe of Madison, Tennessee donated the impressive collection at the suggestion of her late husband Bill who passed away in April 2010. Mr. Kolbe was an avid collector of paperweights during his lifetime and had asked that they be donated to an appropriate place after his passing.

A selection of these beautiful works of art will be on display in the Doris and Harry Vise Library on the campus of Cumberland University.
