eBooks

Vise Library has a subscription to EBSCOhost's eBook Collection. Many of these titles can be downloaded using Adobe Digital Editions or by installing the Bluefire app on a tablet. The EBSCOhost eBook Collection allows users to set up personal accounts, create their own bookshelves, and save annotations and notes.

eBooks can be accessed through the library’s catalog. Once on our catalog, select the Discovery Service drop-down option on the far left. When your search results appear, look for ‘eBooks’ on the far right under ‘Source Type.’ You can also search the databases directly through the eBook links available on the Articles and Databases page.

Please contact us by email at library@cumberland.edu or call 615-547-1299 if you have further questions about accessing or using eBooks.

Request Library Materials

Students living outside of Wilson and surrounding counties (Davidson, Rutherford, Cannon, Dekalb, Smith, Trousdale, and Sumner) may request that library books, videos, and other materials be mailed to them at no cost. Return postage is the responsibility of the student. Materials are considered late and subject to fines if postmarked after the due date. For articles that we own, we will email copies to you. Photocopies of journal articles do not need to be returned.

Please note that this process will take at least ten business days, so plan accordingly. Make a request by emailing us at library@cumberland.edu or calling us at 615-547-1299.
