Vise Library Policies

Mission Statement:

Vise Library supports the needs of the Cumberland University community with regard to the education, careers, and personal growth of Cumberland students, faculty, and staff by:

• facilitating and supporting research at all levels of study;
• maintaining a diverse collection of print and electronic resources that are credible, scholarly, and current;
• actively developing and maintaining partnerships with other academic institutions to obtain materials beyond the scope of Vise's collections;
• providing access to online databases and journals;
• offering inviting spaces that promote individual and collaborative study; and
• hosting speakers and visitors from communities beyond the University.

Vise Library will support lifelong learning and intellectual integrity with an emphasis on critical thinking, community building, and personal excellence in all aspects of life.
